The University of Louisiana at Lafayette needed to expand its facilities to better support student athletes. The new Donald and Janice Mosing Student-Athlete Performance Center brings all of UL’s student athletes under one roof and provides a range of services to support their development. The 100,000 square foot facility houses strength and conditioning, athletic training, equipment room, football offices, a 150-seat auditorium, and specialty rehab spaces, including a 4,800-gallon cold plunge tub and a 3,200-gallon aquatic therapy pool.
Bernhard provided design-assist mechanical construction services on the project. Our in-house engineering, pre-construction, and contracting team worked closely with the architect, engineer, and General Contractor to complete the project between football seasons. The state-of-the-art Donald and Janice Mosing Student-Athlete Performance Center opened to students in September 2015 and is home to the Ragin’ Cajuns’ football program.
