The City of Oklahoma City looked to consolidate multiple departments, offices, and city services within a new Municipal Court building in downtown Oklahoma City. Bernhard provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design services and construction administration for the project. The 65,000 square foot building houses offices, administrative spaces, and six courtrooms.

One key feature of the building’s design is the application of chilled beam technology to serve the heating and cooling needs of the facility. Chilled beams are an energy efficient HVAC technology that passively cool the air without fans. Our team has leveraged this innovative technology in multiple facilities around the country to reduce energy consumption. The entire facility is equipped with direct digital controls that are tied to a building automation system. This allows better control of the interior spaces for more energy efficient operation.
